Operation

Before

After

(I forgot to get any pictures of Jonah, oops!)

Everything went really well. They boys were both really really upset when they woke up, but after we finally got out of there and they got a nap, they have been running around and playing like champs all afternoon. I am so grateful that my mom was here with me. There is just no way we could have done it without here.

And Thank goodness it is over!

Tomorrow is the big day

The boys go in for their surgeries tomorrow morning. Jonah is having his tonsils and adenoids taken out and tubes put in his ears, and Oliver is having tubes put in his ears. I'm feeling a little apprehensive, but mostly I'm just excited to have it all over with. Luckily my mom came out to help me so luckily I don't have to do this alone. Thanks to you all for your prayers and help!

I'll update on how things go. Wish us luck!

Book Review: Dress Your Family in Cordury and Denim

Dress Your Family in Corduroy and DenimDress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim by David Sedaris

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was pretty funny. I wouldn't say is was REALLY funny, but it definitely had it's good moments. A good quick book to read in between reading the books I really want to read.

Book Review: Persuasion

PersuasionPersuasion by Jane Austen

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I wish I had the writing skills to give a proper review of this book, but I don't. So here are my awkward and cheesy thoughts:
I loved this one! It was refreshing to read a love story where they had already met and fell in love previously and it didn't work out. This is the story of what happens 8 years later when fate puts them together again. Even though they both thought all hope was lost, time and space didn't lessen their love for each other. Everyone can have a happy ending!
My favorite quotes:
Captain Wentworth:
"A man does not recover from such a devotion of the heart to such a woman! He ought not; he does not."

"You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight and a half years ago. Dare not say that a man forgets sooner than woman, that his love has an earlier death. I have loved none but you. Unjust I may have been, weak and resentful I have been, but never inconstant."

Anne Elliot:
"All the privilege I claim for my own sex (it is not a very enviable one: you need not covet it), is that of loving longest, when existence or when hope is gone!"
