The title of this book should have been "The politics and process of selecting the American team to go to Iraq during the occupation" There was really hardly anything in the book about life inside the Green Zone. Not that a book solely about "life" inside the Green Zone would have been very interesting, but the title is misleading, I'm just sayin'.
It was interesting to learn about what happened in the year and a half after Saddam was overthrown. It's really sad to see all the opportunities that were missed, but you know, hindsight is 20/20, so it's easy to say NOW what should have been done.
I really think that my friend Bridget wrote a much better review, here, if you're interested. And you should be because her blog is great and she is an amazing writer and always has very interesting posts.
