Yes, we're still alive!

We went to Panama City Beach in August

Boys playing around. Too cute!

Oliver loves to put on people's shoes. He figured out that if he leaves on his own shoes, the big ones stay on.

This is what I was doing just about every day this summer. Going walking with Ruth (she's taking the picture)

This is not a surprising thing to discover when I walk into a room. Oliver is a mess! I love this kid :)

Book Review: Hush Hush

Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1)Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a really fun, really fast read. It was obviously in the same category as "Twlight", but it doesn't take itself too seriously, and I didn't hate the main character (which is always good) Also, the plot twist at the end, I totally didn't see coming.

Book Review: The Lost Symbol

The Lost Symbol (Robert Langdon, #3)The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

It was very similar to "The Di Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons". I enjoyed the other two, but The Lost Symbol was my least favorite of the three, which was surprising, because I love American History so much. I think I lost some momentum because I stopped halfway through and read another book before finishing this one.

Book Review: Redeeming Love

Redeeming LoveRedeeming Love by Francine Rivers

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My second reading and I loved it just as much this time as I did the last time.
This was definitely 5 stars for me. This was an amazing story and meant so much to me. Even now, weeks later, I am still moved when I think about it. I can only think of one other book I have ever read that has had such a lasting effect on me. I don't know what else to say. Just read it. Especially if you are married, or have ever gone through a difficult change of heart. Or if you just want to read an amazing love story about an incredible man who never gave up on his wife. Ever, no matter what she did to him. He loved her so completely and so deeply. I would pick him over Mr. Darcy (from Pride and Prejudice) any day, and I do love Mr. Darcy. It had so many wonderful layers. I feel like it made me want to be closer to God, made me love my husband more, want to serve others more selflessly, and on and on. And especially be more accepting of others and become less judgmental.
