Purple for my peeps!

My blog is purple in honor of my mom. She is turning 50 next week, and is going through a horrible divorce, she is losing everything. She is crazy about purple, so this is for you mom.

Everyone says how much more you appreciate your mom when you have children of your own, and even though Jonah is only 3 weeks old, I really do feel closer to her already. She is so amazing and I am so grateful for everything she sacrificed for me throughout the past 25 years.

Ok, I am a blog idiot. Where do you all find your cute blog backgrounds? Mine is lame, but I'm too dumb to figure out how to make it really cool. I want to give it a little somethin' special.

Babies in 2008!

I just found out that ALL 6 of the married women who were in Jordan with us last summer are all pregnant! Here are 5 of the 6 of us this morning at a baby shower for Laura.

Anna (Girl July 11), Laura (Girl April), Me (Boy, March 14), Sariah (Boy July 7) and Caitlin (? Oct. 5) Bridgit is in Arizona, and I'm not sure when she is due.

Which means that almost every single one of my close friends are pregnant! Besides those listed above are: Missy (Boy May), Katie (Boy June), and Emily (Boy July 15), and Jerry's friend from basic training Ata and his wife Tiff are expecting a boy April 10. [disclaimer, If you are also expecting and I've left you out, I am very sorry! please call me on it, so I can keep track of all the new babies! Also, If I don't know your exact due date, please let me know.]

It's really fun to be one of the first and to watch everybody going through the joy's of pregnancy :)

Jonah was 2 weeks old yesterday! Wow, it has flown by, but it also feels like SO long ago since I was still pregnant. He is growing like a weed. He is already up to 8 lbs 3 oz, and getting more handsome by the minute!

I love being a mom!

Katie got Mommed!

Katie got Mommed on Friday, March 14, 2008. Jonah came into the world at 3:11 p.m. and weighed in at a whopping 7 and 1/2 lbs and measured 19 inches. He is the perfect baby, meaning he does what babies do: He eats, sleeps, poops, pees and coos. He's awesome and Jerry, who got Dadded, couldn't be more proud. Jonah sports characteristics of both parents, thus adding to the perfect equation. You didn't know that Jerry + Katie = Perfect did you? Well, perfect is a relative term. Pictures coming soon!
